Obituary for Billy Wilson
Warner Robins, GA- Billy Wilson, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at his residence. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 6:00 -8:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Magnolia Park Cemetery, 205 S. Pleasant Hill Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Billy was born in Barnesville, GA on February 19, 1937 to the late Brownie and Etta Ree (Smith) Wilson. He worked as a civil service employee at Robins Air Force Base in the civil engineering department until his retirement. Billy was the former owner and operator of the Tire Mart and Hal Fly Tackle Company in Warner Robins, GA. He and his family were members, for many years, at Cochran Field Church of God. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by 2 sons: Tony Whitehead and Todd Wilson; sister: Brenda Woolfolk and his brother, Charles Wilson.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Dosha “Jean” Wilson of Warner Robins; son: Terry Wilson (Vicki) of Warner Robins; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and his sister, Janice Hallman of South Carolina.
