Joey was born on January 8, 1957 in Hahira, GA to the late Earl Joe and Evelyn (Hughes) Harnage. He worked in construction for most of his life with various companies and for many years as the construction superintendant for Lee Company. He used to take me, my mother, my brothers and sister fishing. We'd stay up getting our fishing poles lined up and likely rigs tied on. I'd be so excited that I'd lie awake till the moment he'd come to get us up . He showed us what"catching" fish truly consisted of. He was an amazing father .

My sincere condolences go out to the family, I hope comfort can be found in the scripture at John 5:28,29 where it explains a promise about those sleeping in death.
