Obituary for James Thomas Watson

Perry, GA – James “Jimbo” Thomas Watson, 81, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019 at his residence. A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory.
Jimbo was born on July 16, 1937 in Lithonia, GA to the late Ralph E. and Ellie Maude (Miller) Watson. He was a retired business owner, most notably in Warner Robins, Jimbo’s Restaurant. His previous employment and businesses consisted of working with United Airlines, owning and operating Lithonia Pest Control and owning and operating the Waffle House on Watson Blvd. back in the 70’s. One of the last jobs that he held before officially retiring was as a TSA agent for a few years. Jimbo loved his family and worked hard all his life to provide for them. In addition to his parents, Jimbo was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Lynn Watson.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 62 years, Connie (Edmondston) Watson of Perry, GA; sons: Mike Watson (Jackie) of Centerville, GA, Stephen Watson of Perry, GA and Phil Watson (Shelley) of Waddell, AZ; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister: Vickie Hinton of Conyers, GA; brothers: Charles Watson of Lawrenceville, GA and Allen Miller of Conyers, GA.
