Byron, GA- Larry Ottie Amerson, 59, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at his residence with his beloved family by his bedside. Services celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Victory Baptist Church, 5687 Houston Rd, Macon, GA 31216. A visitation for family and friends will also be Thursday beginning at 1:00 pm in the fellowship hall of Victory Baptist Church. Larry was born on October 25, 1958 in Macon, GA to the late J.C. and Lavada (Faircloth) Amerson. He was a 1977 graduate of Southwest High School in Macon. He worked for over 20 years at Bassett Manufacturing and most recently was employed at Graphic Packaging until his health began to decline. Larry served and worshipped the Lord at Victory Baptist Church in Macon. He was a very simple man with a big heart. He loved his family more than anything and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Linda (Garrett) Amerson of Byron; sons: Tyler Amerson (Marie) and Tyson Amerson both of Macon; daughters: Rebekah Amerson and Rachel Amerson both of Byron; granddaughter: Braylee Amerson; brothers: Harry Amerson (Kitty) of Lizella, Barry Amerson (Stacy) of Macon and Hinton Amerson (Anne) of Dahlonega; sisters: Geneva Arrington of Lizella, Barbara Dillenburg (Howard) of Des Moines, IA and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
