Perry, GA- Marion “Bub” Clifton Aldridge, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 12, 2018 at the Church Home for the Aged. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 2:30 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel with a private family interment following in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The visitation for family and friends will also be held on Tuesday from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory.
Bub was born in Owensboro, KY on September 12, 1933 to the late Milton and Leona (Helton) Aldridge. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. Bub was the preacher of the North Macon Church of Christ for many years until his retirement. In addition to his parents, Bub was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Phyllis (Haynes) Aldridge, his daughter, Sheryl Aldridge and his brother, Kenneth Aldridge.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Dean Aldridge (Judy) of Sugar Loaf, IL, Dale Aldridge (Hassel) of Bowling Green, KY, Susan Richmond (Richard) of Warner Robins, GA, Sandra Aldridge of Vancouver, WA, Sharon Aldridge Cantrell (John) of Macon, GA and David Aldridge (Carla) of Lizella, GA; 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; sisters: Bernice Miller and Esther Worchel; brother: Mickey Aldridge and cousin, Doris Kelly.
