Warner Robins, GA- Christel (Parish) Tressler, 45, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. The funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel. The visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Rehoboth Baptist Association, Christian Social Ministries Food Bank, 744 Lake Joy Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Christel was born on August 14, 1973 in Niceville, FL to the late Harry Wayne and Marion Delores (Worthington) Parish. She graduated cuma sum laude from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Christel worked many years as the lead Pre-K teacher at Meadowdale Learning Centers. In her spare time, Christel could be found studying the word of God or volunteering her time to minister to others. She volunteered at the Rehoboth Baptist Association, helping with the food bank. Christel was an active member at Central Baptist Church, where she was active in various ministries and her Life Group. She adored her church family and friends and was always putting others before herself. Next to her Lord and Savior and husband, her greatest love was her son.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Gary Tressler of Warner Robins, GA; son: Dylan Lashley of Joint Base Charleston, SC; sisters: Deanna (Parish) Regans of Niceville, FL and Tanya (Parish) Sells of Montgomery, AL; brother: Terry Parish of Niceville, FL and many other extended family and friends.
